At AEO Awards 2018
LONDON, UK Jun 27 2018 – Phacilitate’s flagship event, Phacilitate Leaders World, is awarded the top prize of “Best Conference Award’ at the AEO Awards
AEO has awarded its Best Conference award to Clarion Events Limited for Phacilitate Leaders World 2018. The event brings a huge gathering of the advanced therapies community to the US every January. The 2018 meeting was particularly special with an unprecedented 1550 attendees across an entire week. A brand-new and important partnership with the World Stem Cell Summit, has also been set up, which served to bring academics and the industry together to solve the bottleneck of translation into the clinic and ethical and regulatory issues.
This conference began 15 years ago when the cell and gene therapy industry was in its infancy and has had a significant impact; building a community that has been critical in driving innovation and fostering significant collaborations that have helped to drive the industry forward.
Michael Adeniya, Event Director at Phacilitate commented “We decided early in the campaign that the success of this year’s Phacilitate would be built on setting up the right partnerships that would unite the industry as well as creating an experience that our audience would enjoy.
Every member of the team led with a partnership first approach whether in sales, operations or marketing and with that we were able to achieve so much more than we would have alone.”
Phacilitate’s competitors in this category were six hugely respected event organisations and James McGough, Director of Life Sciences and Technology at Clarion remarked “We’re extremely excited and proud to have won this award, especially as it is judged by industry peers. I’d like to congratulate our fellow nominees and thank the AEO for their recognition and look forward to the innovation and impact we’ll see from the 2019 meeting and beyond.”
